Gutshot! First Game.

So we played our first game of Gutshot and it was a good one.  It had the right amount of table top battling and cinematic imagery to keep everyone interested.

I played against my usual opponents:  Ignacio (7) and Max (5).  Ignacio played as "Boom", a Bounty Hunter.  Max played as "Get Money", an Outlaw.  I played "The Spirit of the West", a Gunslinger.  The scenario was "Last Man Standing"  which was fitting considering the characters involved.

The board was set up as an abandoned farm house away from town with random placement of the characters.  The boards were made from World Works Games, Boomtown series.  The figures are from the Chronoscope line of Reaper Miniatures.

The Spirit of the West moved out towards the barrels, but couldn't get a good shot at Boom and couldn't see Get Money who was hiding behind the covered wagon.  Boom then rushed to the barrels and crouched behind them.  Get money then made a run for the farm house.  Instead of shooting, he ran up to the second floor to see all of the action down below.
The shoot out begins.
The shooting started as all three characters started shooting at each other.  Everyone took turns standing their ground and unloaded their pistols at each other.  The Spirit of The West moved to the wall of the farm house to get cover from Get Money while trying to gun down Boom.

The boys beat up their poor old dad.
In the end, The Spirit of the West took rounds from both bad guys and was finally laid low.  Now it was between Boom and Get Money and both had taken severe damage.  Boom tried to take a shot with his last bullet but rolled 'snake eyes' and dropped his gun, too weak from his wounds to hold it and was out of bullets in his other pistol.  Get Money took three aimed shots with the last one finally finding its mark on Boom, hiding behind the barrels.
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.
Get Money was the victor with only three more damage slots left.

The kids and I had a fun time playing and understood the rules pretty quickly.  Since this was our first game, we kept it pretty simple.  In our next games, we'll probably start adding some more elements to make it more fun and challenging.
