Wednesday Board Game Night

So I had the oppurtunity to bring out one of my old board games (and a favorite) to play with my usual opponent.

The master tactician at work.
We had a lot of fun and Iggy is learning not only how to play wargames, but also good sportsmanship.  We're both having fun while learning along the way.

Mordheim: Sorceress of Light

Finally finished my Sorceror for hire.  Doesn't help when you run out of yellow.

Mordheim Necromancer added

Just finished this little gal from the Reaper line to act as a necromancer for my wife's Mordheim Vampire warband.
There coming to get you, Barbara.

R.I.P. H R Giger

Giger will always be one of my favorite influences.  He seemlessly blended machinery with organic textures.

You will be missed.

Stripping

I had a bunch of Bretonnian archers sitting around that I got off of e-bay and they didn't have the greatest of paint jobs.  So I figured I would strip them while I was doing other projects.

Its WIP Wednesday

So after a long break, here's what's on the painting table:

Not sure how I'm going to do the base yet.  I want it to look Slaanesh enough but not overboard where it detracts from the model.  We'll see.

On Scale: From soldiers to buildings

One question that comes up regarding most war games is "What scale is it?".  Most of us give the easy answer as either 28mm or 1/58th scale.  But what scale is your game really in?

Update time!

So I'm currently working on some pieces that will end up on e-bay.  Stay tuned to see when they are up for grabs.

Right now, I'm working on sticking to our new family budget so we'll see how much goes to models.

But my wife has thrown down the gauntlet.  She's promised to pick up 40K and WHFB again if I clean out the back room.

I accept that challenge.  (Just not sure how long thats going to take though.)
