R.I.P. H R Giger

Giger will always be one of my favorite influences.  He seemlessly blended machinery with organic textures.

You will be missed.

Stripping

I had a bunch of Bretonnian archers sitting around that I got off of e-bay and they didn't have the greatest of paint jobs.  So I figured I would strip them while I was doing other projects.

Its WIP Wednesday

So after a long break, here's what's on the painting table:

Not sure how I'm going to do the base yet.  I want it to look Slaanesh enough but not overboard where it detracts from the model.  We'll see.

On Scale: From soldiers to buildings

One question that comes up regarding most war games is "What scale is it?".  Most of us give the easy answer as either 28mm or 1/58th scale.  But what scale is your game really in?

Update time!

So I'm currently working on some pieces that will end up on e-bay.  Stay tuned to see when they are up for grabs.

Right now, I'm working on sticking to our new family budget so we'll see how much goes to models.

But my wife has thrown down the gauntlet.  She's promised to pick up 40K and WHFB again if I clean out the back room.

I accept that challenge.  (Just not sure how long thats going to take though.)

End of the Year... And on to the Next!

So being busy with the holidays and the kids, there hasn't been much time to do any actual building and painting.  But there is plenty of time to think about what's next.

So for the start of the new year, it will either be:
  1. Try to finish my Chaos Emperor's Children
  2. Actually build some terrain
  3. Finish painting my Space Hulk figures
  4. Start on my Dreadfleet figures
  5. Get my car running
  6. Complete the <Secret Project>
  7. Sit around and play video games
I have a good feeling that some projects will get done in a timely manner.  But that all depends on commissions and the family.

Whatever happens, I promise there will be a lot more posts of some real goodies.

Till then,
TTFN!
